Girus Group History
Girus Group was formed
in 2006 as a merger of two privately owned companies Visi-tech
Systems Limited and Girus Limited.
Visi-tech was established
in 2001 to provide the printing industry with high quality
and affordable web inspection systems. The original product
range was developed in a 180 sq. ft. garage but the company
made rapid progress with its products and quickly built
a reputable brand and a successful global distribution network.
During the course of business with their customers it became
apparent to Visi-tech management that the printing industry
had completely accepted the use of technology to monitor
print in order to reduce waste, however the vast majority
of companies were still not employing technology to monitor
and reduce the wasted time and material on their printing
machines. These companies still employed manual time sheets
to monitor their printing operations and with very little
effectiveness.
In 2004 Visi-tech created
a team to work with this idea and they began working on
a solution. By 2005 they had solved the technical problems
associated with automatic inline data collection and were
ready to test their prototype system. A number of UK label
printers offered to test the monitoring system and for the
next 12 months the Visi-tech team modified and fine tuned
the product.
In 2006 after two and
a half years of development and testing the new product
was ready for market and a new company was born - Girus
Limited - and with this came the formation of the Girus
Group.
Girus Group now embraces
both Visi-tech and Girus Limited with working plans in the
pipeline for additional subdivisions in Baroda India and
in Melbourne Australia. |
