Girus Reports
It’s all very
well collecting loads of really good accurate data, but
unless you can turn that data into meaningful reports that
highlight those things that are important to you, then that
data is useless. Whatever
version of Girus you choose to implement, you can be assured
that the quality of the data presentation matches the quality
of the raw data collection.
Girus presents data
with different levels of abstraction, from detailed event
logs that indicate every second of recorded activity to
OEE reports providing a measure of Overall Equipment Effectiveness
for the entire plant. Many of the reports center on Key
Performance Indicators (KPIs) allowing the user to measure
manufacturing efficiency at different levels. Over time,
analysis of KPIs will enable print managers to improve productivity
and make their manufacturing operation leaner and more efficient
at a strategic as well as a tactical level.
Girus allows the print
manager to set performance targets for some of the KPIs,
and then measure the performance of jobs, machines or operators.
The performance against the target for each item is highlighted
on screen, with green icons showing the jobs that have completed
on target and red icons showing those jobs that failed to
perform within the given parameters. On-screen status icons
allow the print manager to quickly and easily identify problem
areas and direct attention where it is most required.
With a constantly
evolving range of reports available to Girus users, either
through free downloads or online software updates, you will
not be short of valuable information enabling you to analyse
your manufacturing process, and work on improving efficiency.
Information can be presented
in various forms including tables, pie charts, bar charts,
scatter diagrams, pareto charts and many more.
Report categories
include:
- Job reports
- Machine reports
- Operator reports
- Idle reports
- Trend reports
Within each of the categories,
where appropriate, you will find various reports clearly
indicating statistics relating to the following:
- Waste material and reasons
for it
- Material usage analysis
- Material usage efficiency
compared against scheduled material allowance
- Make ready efficiency
compared against scheduled time estimates
- Running efficiency compared
against scheduled time estimates
- Lost time analysis
- Average running speeds
- Detailed event logs indicating
every second of recorded activity
- Utilisation
- Overall Equipment Effectiveness
(OEE)
- Availability
- Performance
- Quality
- Idle time analysis
- Efficiency trends
- Waste trends
- Recovered time analysis
And remember, the above
reports can be applied to analyse jobs, machines, operators,
departments or entire plants.
As a management tool,
Girus is invaluable for anyone wishing to improve operational
efficiency and work towards an environment of lean manufacturing.
