Scheduling is a fine balance
between meeting target delivery dates and managing workflow,
and can be highly complex when done manually. Girus Schedule
enables print managers to effectively manage and control
the print operation so that lead times are reduced, delivery
dates met and output is maximised.
Girus Schedule employs
dynamic scheduling techniques to quickly assign jobs to
machines in the most efficient order to meet deadlines.
New and currently scheduled jobs can be easily viewed and
re-scheduling can be achieved with simple drag-and-drop
operations. Bottlenecks and spare capacity can be seen on
screen, and managers can quickly identify the consequences
of proposed schedule changes.
By estimating the
time required for each job on each machine and highlighting
jobs that will not meet the required delivery date, Girus
Schedule provides an unrivalled means of maximising efficiency
while still meeting required dates.
Once the manager
is happy with a schedule it can be committed as a work plan
after which work instructions can be downloaded to machines
and operators via the Girus T20 operator interfaces.
